Awards: The Kevin Greening Award 2011
About the Production
Recorded for URY in 2011, Tess Humphrey's black comedy 'The Prince of Humberside' is the story of Laurie, a troubled teenager who calls the NHS Suicide Hotline and receives some unconventional advice for call centre worker Arrabella.
The play deals with the devastating issues of depression in young people in a subtle and engaging way yet also offers a darkly comic and deeply moving half an hour of gripping drama.
The production was awarded the Kevin Greening Award in 2011, one of its highest accolades, at a star studded ceremony in the O2.
